Re: VOW Flagship: Neville, ALL IN, TripleMania, WALTER/Devlin & more!
There's definitely an inordinate amount of time on the show overall dedicated to the "15 people on twitter with a religious fanaticism for Naito and Hiromu Takahashi" sect of wrestling fandom out-hot taking each other for likes which covers a lot of the opinions that you guys oppose on this show. No...

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28
don't worry about setting guys up for title matches, every single champion is gonna lose more matches than they have title shots to give. sometimes we get a little carried away with "every single gedo booked new japan result means something" when the booking has always been about putting puzzle piec...

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28
I wish the full lineups with the undercard tags were released earlier, there's always that in between period when the block matches are just put out in a random order and people are wondering why Gallows vs. Honma on night 14 in Sendai is main eventing, and then base a bunch of their predictions (or...

Re: VOW Flagship: BOSJ, MLW/ROH TV, Squirrel Meat & more!
I wouldn't pester anyone for not being into a style of wrestling and certainly not lucha or grapplefuck, defending your stance shouldn't have to be anything more than "it's not for me." The part about pretending to like grappling because you feel you should doesn't really compute with me, even thoug...

Re: VOW Flagship: WOTY Candidates, FOX/WWE & much more!
I'm not gonna do spreadsheet math at this point in the year but Asuka is the first person that comes to mind for me as a Most Outstanding candidate. A lady wrestler from the nefarious main roster, so there's that. Doesn't have any Long Epics but that's not exactly a criticism to some of us weirdos. ...

Re: Joe Watches Every Gail Kim Match On The Network
cleaner and smoother If I had the network I'd go and watch these to see exactly what you mean. Is it implying that the more reckless looking stuff between Charlotte and Sasha is a negative, because I think them having these chaotic lucha brawlish matches is excellent stuff. I'm one of those loons w...

Re: Most Outstanding
I think if you're a fan of the style it's hard not to see Timothy Thatcher as an all timer in the making. I was late to the party with him and only this year have gone out of my way to see everything of his that makes tape and he's been incredible, likely with a lot of his best stuff ahead of him fo...

Re: 2017 Lou Thesz/Ric Flair Award (Wrestler of the Year)
New Japan A, New Japan B and New Japan C, the more interesting discussion is trying to conceive a case for anyone else. One that comes to mind for me is Fred Yehi, a great wrestler everywhere he goes and is entirely responsible for two of WWN's promotions even being watchable.

Re: 2017 Weekly TV Show of the Year
Main Event, 205 Live and NXT in some order for me, they offer the best ratio of good content vs. bad content. Raw has absolutely been an underrated match quality show, there's good stuff almost every week and under the radar TV matches in general are why I can't get behind this as the worst WWE year...

We don't know the order of the matches until they release the full cards. I'm sure Okada/Elgin will main event its show.

Re: Evolve (WWNLive)
77 was an okay show but 76 is my show of the year with Allin/Dickinson, the tag title match, Hero/Lee all very good and ACH/Riddle as my match of the year to this point. Riddle continues to have such a fascinating voyage through pro wrestling, last month's shows felt like the breaking point where I ...

Re: WWE NXT 2017
This was my favourite top to bottom TakeOver since probably Mania weekend, everything delivered fairly well and especially so in the tag title match, but I couldn't help but feel like it was simultaneously an indictment of NXT as a whole. The four guys in the first two matches, AOP, the Aussie girls...
