Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling
Hi Everyone, I am going on a trip to London for the first time next week and August 28th will be my first day there. I would really like to go to PROGRESS 35 but there are only standing room only tickets left. Tickets have yet to go on resale due to a few standing room tickets remaining. I would set...

Re: "Why NXT May Be a Long-Term] Detriment For Pro Wrestling"
This is definitely one of the positive effects of NXT, similar to how the likes of Hero and Sydal returning to the indies as "veterans" enriched the scene. I don't know if it is enough to counteract the negative effects of their high signing rate though.

Re: Wrestling Eye Podcast - WON HoF Series
I haven't listened to the Breaks show yet, but this is honestly one of the best podcast series going -- a tremendous resource for Hall of Fame research.

Re: "Why NXT May Be a Long-Term] Detriment For Pro Wrestling"
First, I don't mean this to sound like I'm shitting on this guy's article. I think it at least raises some decent points. However, two points. First, I read better writing than this on the VOW site nearly every time an article is posted. Again, I don't mean to shit on the article, but there's some ...

Re: "Why NXT May Be a Long-Term] Detriment For Pro Wrestling"
This article does not address the fact that WWE has signed far more unknown talent and people who are trying to become wrestlers for the first time. This article smacks of "let me write something counter to popular opinion for clicks" or "let me write something that sounds prophetic for clicks" The...

Re: "Why NXT May Be a Long-Term] Detriment For Pro Wrestling"
Listing to Talking Sheet, where I first noticed the praise for it, I just disagree with all of the points (edit: points in the podcast). And the article looks at NXT targeting the ROH schedule for their national touring which I don't disagree with, but to cite the NXT UK tour on the sale week of Fi...

The Final Conquest: Why NXT May Be A Long-Term Negative For Pro-Wrestling
I wrote an article a day or two ago that has blown up beyond the wildest of expectations, and has spawned some great Twitter discussion and banter. Unfortunately, however, Twitter isn't the greatest of places for long in-depth discussion -- and thus we have this thread. Also, cheap plugs. Final Conq...

Thank you!themib wrote:The first Melissa picture is from SHIMMER Volume 60, where she bled hardway against LuFisto. It ended her run of having a match on every single SHIMMER volume, as she had to miss Volume 61 to get treatment, though she did come back to do a run-in on that show anyway.

I can't really work out where this is from, some say that it was from a recent LU taping. Has anyone heard otherwise?

Re: NJPW Roster Turmoil & Wrestle Kingdom 10 Review
With all that has happened over the last week, I would be surprised if we don't see Suzuki-gun back by June; and they will add a lot of depth to the roster as a hot act when they return. Additionally, I don't really understand why they can't bring in an Akiyama type for some of the bigger shows.
