WDKW100 2017 RESULTS

The WDKW100 is a fan poll used to identify the very best wrestlers of the prior year based on an in-ring basis only. Votes were solicited mostly on Twitter and the final tally saw more than 70 folks submit ballots. You can find posts for the top 100 including blurbs from the WDKW forums and recommen...

Re: NWA Thread - The Relic, The Remnant

As the original NuWA fan I can say Aldis being champ is laughable. I have no expectations that Lagana and Billy will find a great talent to carry the NWA. Tim Storm wasn't a guy to carry it, but he was a proof of concept. Aldis is not the guy. It is so sad to watch this play out.

Re: Best Trainers in Wrestling

CHIKARA and AIW are two schools that are producing quality talent but have also had multiple trainers over the past 5 years or so (not sure AIW one has actually been around that long but they have had three prominent trainers since inception I think?)

Re: Best Trainers in Wrestling

Are Trey Migual, Dezmond Xavier, and Zachary Wentz all Dave Crist students? If so then he has to hop into the conversation, right?

Re: Next wave indie stars

Circling back to the OP, interesting the lack of women. The pool is quite shallow right now. Disagree with this somewhat. The top end has been hurt with NXT and TNA signing some of the more experienced workers, but as far as young talent goes it's fairly healthy. Having had discussions with people ...

Re: Next wave indie stars

Jacob Fatu is about as good a shout as any and not one I had thought of. With PCW (Cali) on HSWN he will be a lot easier to keep tabs on in the future.

Re: Next wave indie stars

Feels like Ricky Stark has been touted as the "next big thing" since...2013? Sort of makes me wonder, how long can someone be touted as a major prospect before saying they are behind where they should be?

Re: Next wave indie stars

Okay so I think most wrestlers ON THE RISE have been mentioned but to sorta recap who is looking like safe bets: -Alex Daniels: I think he's going to be that strong utility player in the future where he'll be plugged against everyone and won't look a lick out of place. -Myron Reed: That's your next ...

Re: Evolve (WWNLive)

I've got a sneaky feeling about Marty Scurll tomorrow. EVOLVE are very high on him, and they're heavily playing up the advice that Paul Heyman gave him at the show in London that Heyman did. Not sure the Thatcher story necessarily needs the title. It needs the title if the alternative is Marty with...

Re: Introducing The Honor Roll: ROH's 50 Greatest Wrestlers Ever

Most of us could knock out a strong Top 5 in a minute. But a 50 is interesting you have things like what McGuinness's legacy is, where to rank if at all someone like a Rhett Titus who has been there for years, giving Davey Richards his due etc. I think it's a great point. Plus we can also see how m...
