Re: All In: September 1

Bucks have said in the past that they never want to do anything with Cornette. So that's not happening.

Re: Dragon Gate

I see this playing three ways potentially, A) Final two is Takagi and Kanda. ANTIAS turns on Takagi. He loses. Loses his hair. SaiRyo saves him. Vows to fight with him to go against ANTIAS. Takagi embraces the Owarai Gate. B) Same set up as A. But this time, Takagi winning despite ANTIAS turning on ...

Re: Dragon Gate

Sure but again, if you kicked out Takagi, there really isn't a great fit for him at all. You could kill Tribe or even OG, but then what happens to U-T or Yosuke or Ishida or any of those guys? Personally, I think OG fits a purpose of keeping young guys with the old and I agree with Jae that it would...

Re: Dragon Gate

I think the points here are good here. I do want to point out that Takagi's beef with Yoshino was the extreme amount of exhibition matches, matches where people from different units teamed with each other for no reason, in particular Yoshino wanting to team with T-Hawk after beating him at World 201...

Re: Dragon Gate

To be fair, if you really think about it, Takagi's influence in Verserk had waned and favored T-Hawk anyways. I remember looking up and I'll have to look this again, but I believe 5 of the last 7 Korakuens T-Hawk got the pin in the matches he was in. Again, I'll have to double check that but it's so...

Re: Wrestlers that "Had It" but never made it/retired...

I totally agree with Monty Brown. Dude had presence, explosive, charisma. And, of course, he had the Pounce. One of the best finishers, honestly ever. His pro football background translated perfectly to pro wrestling. TNA could have made him into a huge star but they mishandled him. WWE did the same...

Re: Dragon Gate

Re; Rollup's point; that's the one thing about the T-Hawk argument that I think usually have with people. I get the idea that people are just like "why isn't this company taking risk?" "Why wouldn't they just take a risk on T-Hawk?" And my argument is always...well, why should they? Let's look at th...

Re: What If Tetsuya Naito Doesn’t Get Hurt In 2012?

The NEVER title would certainly be different. At least, the first few years. The title was created for him to win it(he was the only wrestler present during the press conference.) Other than that, who knows, but I like to think eventually the NEVER title would become what it is today.

Re: Dragon Gate

Seems like the Saito-Takagi stuff and the Kagetora-Kanda stuff is connected to a potential Cage match at DEAD or ALIVE. I like to imagine Takagi eventually gets kicked out but the cage match is five months away. So this is something that's rapidly developing and until we see the official roll out of...

Re: Dragon Gate

I have to think about it but this might be my favorite Final Gate show ever. 2009 had the awesome Osaka 09/TakaYAMA match but it had that really bad Cage match where Yoshino got his head shaved. 2011 was good but Mochi/CIMA absolutely sucked. 2014 had the awesome Hulk/Takagi main. So yeah, I think t...

Re: Dragon Gate

I was thinking about this the other day. It's pretty insane to think about how much Dragon Gate has committed to elevating T-Hawk. I mean, if you look at everything he's accomplished since August 2013), it's crazy. In his first four months he won the Summer Adventure Tag League with Eita, then won t...

Re: Dragon Gate

It's possible but then again, with this company, who really knows. By default I've said Kanda. At first, I said SaiRyo, but I think Kanda/Kagetora just sounds like a Brave Gate match at a show like Final Gate. But with that said, I don't know. It could be U-T, it could be someone else. I don't even ...

Re: 2017 Most Improved

I agree with all of this. I would also add TK Cooper, but his injury I think will hurt his chances a lot. But definitely think he should be considered in some sense.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Totally. It's not conventional to be this bold. But, like you mentioned, Gedo has succeeded in all of them. The worries are legit. But I think Gedo will do everything to put him in a position to succeed, something he deserves credit for. He might throw you into the deep end, but he'll make sure they...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Keep in mind too that this was the first showing of the Switchblade persona. Like Roppongi 3K, this is still a new act so there's going to be rough patches for certain. Over time we'll definitely see Jay grow into the character, adding new nuances, etc. That's what you hope for. So this isn't the fi...
