Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Yeah, Cody has to eat the pin here by Omega. Any other outcome leads to some real wierd shit. If ibushi pins Cody, all of a sudden you have a freakin' title change . . . and i guess Omega would get a singles rematch? That seems like 2019 business Cody winning would be the dumbest fuckin' idea and wo...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

If GOD loses, their push hits a big stall...but the Tag challengers are ambiguous at this stage

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

This was very clearly the best Destruction show - the roster isn't strong enough to spread it across three nights, but this night had better energy and work across the card, the best main event, and a massive, massive angle to close it out The build to this moment has been spectacular. Jay white has...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Tanahashi isn't winning at the dome. He's a scalp for Kenny's resume.

Now, if Kenny is leaving for WWE, then . . .

Re: Neville/Pac released from WWE

There are so many absolutely abysmal, and I mean ABYSMAL Neville takes that I've seen in the last 48 hours. Total garbage takes. I'm going to bring some sanity, and most importantly common sense, to the Pac discourse on the Flagship this week. Some people really need to take off their fan caps and ...

Re: Neville/Pac released from WWE

Couldn't it have been an "exit physical" or something?

If i recall correctly, WWE has to wait until someone's healthy before they can straight dump them?

Re: Neville/Pac released from WWE

I hate to see him go because he's had two very noteworthy roles in building the NXT and Cruiserweight titles. But, it's been almost a year and the two sides weren't reconciling, so best to cut bait. My biggest question would be how he perceives his value-is he a main event level indie or Impact guy...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Posted this in the US wrestling forum but it seems particularly relevant here: PAC/Neville is now free!!!!!!!! http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/neville-wwe-contract/#.W4DAmbhrxhE The possibilities seem endless. PAC has name value, he wrestled at fuckin' Mania; he's done Japan before in Dragon Gate. ...

Neville/Pac released from WWE

i believe Pro Wrestling Sheet had it first: http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/neville-wwe-contract/ This is pretty huge news. He's the biggest free agent available; it's been what, nine months since he wrestled for WWE/205 Live? Neville wrestled at fuckin' Wrestle Mania last year against Austin Aries...

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28

problem with Okada taking the briefcase: Is he gonna face Kenny this soon? They wrestled at WK 11, Dominion, G127, Dominion. Thats 4 matches in about 18 months, including a 2/3 falls match to "settle" it. And what the hell would even happen in that match? if Okada wins, you're really cutting off ken...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

There's zero chance Kenny isn't on the long beach show They can stick him in a Golden Lovers tag and let Ibushi do the heavy lifting if his foot is hurting. Either GOD, or maybe Naito-Sanada or somethin'. It'll still be good, and it'll have weight Hell, i wouldn't even be upset at a kenny/yano non-t...

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28

For the past 8 years straight only two men have won the Wrestle Kingdom main event. Winning the main event of WK is more elusive than any other accomplishment in NJPW, more so than the G1 or IWGP Title. These are the last 8 WK main event winners: 2018 - Kazuchika Okada (defeating Naito) 2017 - Kazu...

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28

Okada winning the briefcase makes no sense. They aren't going back to Okada-Omega at Wrestle Kingdom when they had 4 matches already in about 18 months, including a 2/3 falls match Kenny's challenger is Ishii Do you really think Okada/Ishii is headlining the dome? Tanahashi beating Okada makes the m...

Re: All In: September 1

Assuming they put in effort, that should be a banger. Pretty surprised they didn't just do a Golden Lovers v some other tag team to save Kenny some wear and tear, but hey, who's complaining about this one? Pentagon's been working everywhere - Impact, MLW, smaller indies, mexico. Kinda brings top guy...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I'm glad they settled the question we mostly knew the answer to - Ishimori is joining BC OG. Glad they got a good worker, his addition to these battles will add some kick in the ring at least Speaking of which - neither BC OG or BC Elite have enough jrs to field a contender in the Jr Tag division Th...
