Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I don't think that scenario is too far-fetched. In my mind, as long as Kenny Omega has the BULLET CLUB logo on him, the fans will see him as a man who leans towards heel. But what if they all turned on him after he and Ibushi sort of pow-wow after a match, fully turning Kenny face? I don't see that ...

Re: 2017 Lou Thesz/Ric Flair Award (Wrestler of the Year)

Same. I currently rank it with Okada first, Omega second, and Naito third. I think a strong argument for Kenny Omega could be made, but I also think you can't argue against the year Kazuchika Okada has had, from both in-ring and a business perspective. His reign has been the key factor in New Japan'...

Re: Evolve (WWNLive)

Glad Kincaid is back on his feet again. Really enjoy the guy's work and it sucks that he had to take a month off due to that injury he picked up Mania weekend.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

That title belt kind of looks like one that you'd find in TEW for one of the default promotions. Don't hate it, though.

Re: *NEW* ROH Thread. Keep it clean.

The thing that seems suspicious about the visa thing is the fact that Omega flew into Orlando last year for CEO where he and Xavier Woods had a grand ol' time playing fighting games.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I feel like the Omega/Elgin scenario set-up earlier makes a lot of sense, but that would also involve Cody losing. And so far, he doesn't like to do that so much, so I'm not sure. I think Omega wins for sure for Long Beach and carries it through WK12. I think Okada winning the G1 if he loses at Domi...

Re: *NEW* ROH Thread. Keep it clean.

To touch more on the UNAUTHORIZED show in Milwaukee. I was also there. It was very fun live. Marty Scurll's finger break spot is legitmately nasty. The 6 man with Bully was amazing live, but maybe not so much on tape. And I loved Bucks/Addiction. Had it at ****3/4. Both those teams are just great. A...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

LIGER, NAKANISHI & KAWATO VS IIZUKA, TAKA, DESPY HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIT SO happy you are all aboard the Kawato train, Joe. That kid is incredible. He's so over in Korauken, he takes a beating like a maniac, and he is just that lovable goof young lion who you can't help but root for. Liger slapping him ...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

As long as Cody doesn't refuse to lose, him being in the G1 will be fine. He'll have average matches and crank out a great one as is typical for guys like him.

Re: WWE WrestleMania 33 - April 2, 2017

Also for those unhappy with the lineup, would these alternative matches have been more satisfying, one aimed at workrate, the other aimed at casual sports-entertainment? Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles Triple H vs. Shane McMahon With the correct story build-up, I absolutely would have preferred those tw...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

That LION'S GATE card is awesome. TAKA getting to stretch Red Shoes' son will be awesome, Kawato is going to sell his ass off, Iwamato and Aoyagi are both awesome. I don't know who Toru Sugiura is, but he's from FREEDOMS, so that's intriguing. The main event will be awesome. And there's a man named ...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Thought this first Road To show over-delivered on my expectations and resulted in a very watchable show that had a few stand-outs. Fale vs. Oka was as good of a match as a one minute match could be, with Oka showing some great fire before Fale was able to finish him off. Other than the main event, t...
