Re: F4W/Observer-Is it still worth paying for?

Message boards have two ways where they can work: The first is a complete wild west where there are basically no rules other than the actual laws of society. They're often full of horrible people but sometimes some real good comedy and friendships can be bred in places like that, and I think a lot o...

Re: Chris Hero's 2016 body of work

Comparing that time frame of Bryan Danielson to Chris Hero, the interesting thing is that Bryan during that time worked primarily for ROH and FIP, where he had the run of the places. He hardly worked anywhere else, and only worked overseas at the very end of that period. One impressive thing about H...

Re: VOW Flagship: TNA/Billy Corgan Saga, FloSlam, Hell in a Cell & more!

Just listened to the TNA segment. I'm not an expert of anything, but I have followed TNA's inner workings for the last year plus to a sad degree, so I might be able to clear a few things up: - The central argument of Billy's case against TNA, to me, is that under the terms of his third loan, if TNA ...

Re: The End of TNA? Or the beginning of CFW (Clusterf*ck Wrestling)?

I feel bad for anyone who has worked for this company except for the management, Dixie Carter is legit one of the worst human beings to be involved in the wrestling business Is Dixie Carter a worse human being than Paul Heyman? I don't know if she's worse, but she's shockingly similar in some respe...

Re: OBSERVER SCOOP: WWE NETWORK CHANGES AFFECTING ROH AND TNA

So if WWE is trying to go the UFC Fight Pass/WWN Live/Highspots TV route with the $14.99 tier, let me commit now that if WWE puts some grimy ass IWA-MS shows on it, I will buy it.

Here's a screen cap of the survey WWE sent out about this:

Re: PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerilla)

For those who own it: Is THIRTEEN worth a buy? I've been debating buying either THIRTEEN or ROH's new Briscoes comp. I gave a more extended review on my blog but I'll save you reading my overlong crap and sum it up quicker. I would call it a good, but not great show. I thought the main event border...

Re: PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerilla)

Watched the first half of Thirteen tonight. There are some absolutely nutty, pre-concussions are bad era level bumps in Chuck Taylor/Trent. Trent takes a power bomb into four open chairs and a backdrop into a ladder and comes away with this giant awful looking red bruise or welt on his lower back. C...

Re: PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerilla)

This has to be the fastest they've ever uploaded a highlight video. Hopefully this means the DVD production for these is going to be sped up too. I know PWG Thirteen DVDs are supposed to arrive this week, which is about a five and a half week turn around time from when the show happened.

Re: PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerilla)

I'm a little disappointed in the booking. If you look at who made the second round, it's mostly long time PWG regulars, and Hennigan, Rhodes and Haskins. The idea of Riddle, Kassa, Kamaitachi, Cobb, Fenix and Pentagon Jr. losing in the first round doesn't depress me because they lost, because I know...

The Scenic City Invitational 2016

Anyone else watch this now that it's on VOD? I just finished reviewing it for my blog. I've been a VOW listener long enough to know that the boys are frenemies with some of the southern graps guys, but I thought the shows were very easy watches. Only one match I'd call below average and two truly gr...

Re: TNA: It still exists, kind of!

https://twitter.com/voiceswrestling/status/764156285352759296 Why do the wrestlers stay if they don't get paid at the tapings? You would assume one person would say, "You're breaking my contract by not paying me on time so I'm leaving." I think one of the main reasons Taz stopped announcing for TNA...

Re: PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerilla)

I was irrationally hoping for a Ospreay/Sabre Jr/Andrews vs. Pentagon Jr/Fenix/Kamaitachi match. :(

Re: Jack Evans

Jack is not as well rounded or mechanically polished as other ROH "it" high flyers of their times, but none of those guys had the charisma Jack had. None of them took a beating the way Jack did. I am just as likely to remember Danielson twisting Evans in knots as I am to remember a 630. The Strong/E...

Re: Jimmy Jacobs

I think if you factor character work in with ring work, Jacobs deserves a spot, maybe even a fairly good spot. He was able to go from being a random undercard guy who never really clicked in the promotion and was on his way out, to being one of the most over acts in the company, all due to a series ...
