Re: WWE Extreme Rules 2016 thread

How great would an Owens/Styles feud over the IC title would look right now? I think both of them are above that level at this point. Unless you're booked in the main event angle with Reigns, it's just guys having matches for the sake of having matches. None of the midcard titles or feuds matter. W...

100+ hours a year of first-run content for free. It's a great deal for Pop TV.

Absolutely. Biggest match they have.
Brock/Reigns II?
Cena/Reigns is bigger.

Rollins appears to be taking the main slot vs. Roman, so that leaves Owens, Zayn, Cesaro, Rusev, Miz, a returing Orton, or a returning Cena. Outside of Miz, all of those are money programs for me.

Re: F4W/Observer-Is it still worth paying for?

The WON has been and continues to be an invaluable resource. What Dave has managed to put out over the last 30 years, both in quality and quantity, is absolutely astonishing. Nobody can argue that point. What is up for debate is the value in the rest of the content on the site. Rich and Joe have don...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Echo everyone's sentiment on KUSHIDA v. O'Reilly. Fantastic match. KUSHIDA has has such a great 2016 so far, he'll undoubtedly be in the best wrestler conversation at the end of the year. Gedo and Taguchi dusting off the working boots in their respective matches was a real treat and put the show ove...

Re: WWE Extreme Rules 2016 thread

It was a thumbs in the middle show. Opening tag was ten minutes too short. A proper story can't be told in eight minutes. Cesaro v. Zayn v. Owens v. Miz was very good Abrose v. Owens was a stinker . Both guys worked hard, but at the end of the day it was a comedy gimmick match that had zero heat. I...

Re: WWE 2016 Cuts

Rhodes wasn't a top guy by any means, but that doesn't mean he was worthless. All the guy wanted was an incentive to show up for work. Like he said, the money is nice, but that's a non-factor if you look at the big picture. These guys are famous pro wrestlers, but I can imagine that getting pegged a...

9 minutes and another distraction finish. They're really dropping the ball on the women's division post-WrestleMania

Xtreme Tiger v. Volador Jr from last weeks Elite show was really good. Working my way through last weeks CMLL over the next day or so.

https://twitter.com/courtbauer/status/732582878203269122 After he cut ties with AAA and Lucha, I could see WWE bringing Court on as a consultant for the Cruiserweight stuff. He knows the landscape down in Mexico and could be a good resource. Also, Dave said on WOR that the los ingobernables break u...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Joe nailed it on Gedo. Quietly had an amazing 25+ year career. Throughout the early to mid 90s, he was an elite worker in both tags and singles.
