Fire Pro Podcast EPISODE 2: Tough Enough and Superbrawl 2000

We made it to episode 2! This week on the FPP, we actually introduce ourselves, which in fact we did not do in the first episode, pretty much because Bryan had no idea how to edit the podcast. But all of that is fixed this week! We talk about Mega Man Legacy Collection briefly since it came out this...

FIRE PRO PODCAST EPISODE 1: This is a Test

Hello everyone. I thought I would like to share with you the FIRST EVER EPISODE of the Fire Pro Podcast. Me, BradBrains and Smarch from the F4W forums talk about SummerSlam in detail, the finish of the main event and if it was a good one or no, the top matches from the NXT card the night prior, what...

Re: VOW Flagship (8/12): Call for Questions!

Have either of you watched or followed Tough Enough this season, thoughts on who should win. also how creepy is it that they keep saying Josh has "it", without ever explaining what "it" means (though it basically means he's tall) which is all everyone ever said about the last winner, who got sent ba...

Re: WCW Thread

The stream is up to the WCW/NJPW supershow from 1993. JR and Schiavone called most of the action. But when the Steiners left for the WWF, they couldn't show their match. So they added a six man tag from earlier in the show. Since JR had left by then, and I have no idea why they didn't go with Schiav...

Re: Best Wrestling book ever?

Jericho and Foley's first books are good. The other ones are fine too, but not as good. The origin of their stories is more interesting than what happens after.

Bret's book was another that I really like.

Wrestlecrap and the Death of WCW books were good too. I remember liking Flair's a lot too.

Re: NJPW on AXS TV: New multi-year deal!

Even though these shows feature older matches, it's worth watching them again because Ranallo and Barnett are really good together and add a lot of insight. Glad this got renewed for a long term deal.

Re: WCW Thread

I just witnessed the most unintentionally hilarious promo of 1990 so far as a blindfolded Gordon Solie interviewed the Black Scorpion where he promised he would take Sting's title AND HIS SOUL.

Solie called the interview "a most bizarre situation".

Re: So what is the point of NXT again?

Right now it's a smaller touring brand with a buzz. Like Rich said, the problem is a lot of the performance center guys aren't getting a chance here because they're so top heavy with talent. Triple H has mentioned this in past interviews and he said something about running more smaller shows with th...

They could drop the NJPW name and go with IWGP. But I don't think it matters that much, at least not right now.

I'm guessing it'll be built around Jeff Hardy or something.

Maybe Hardy vs. EC3?

Re: Ring Of Honor 2015

It's weird. I thought we wouldn't be seeing Strong vs. Lethal for a while and turns out it's this Friday.

feels like such a quick turnaround.

Re: WCW Thread

I think the ones here ended in DQs. I remember the one from GAB 88 which was super lame because it was a blood stoppage when Luger was barely busted open.

Re: WCW Thread

Luger vs. Flair was a feud that kind of killed Luger off. He'd turned too many times and failed too many times to win the belt. By the time that he did the next year it was in such a weird way that it just didn't work.
