Hopefully that's a sign they will be used more, though Peyton Royce and Billie Kay weren't used that much more when they had profiles added.

That's the million dollar question that I want confirmed too.

I'm pretty sure the success of NXT lead to his promotion

Was Michael Hayes in charge of Smackdown before James and Ward?

Cause Hayes and Ward are the only ones that crossed my mind when Cody mentioned that.

HHH on Twitter yesterday noted that the name of the 6/8 NXT Takeover show would be "Takeover: The End." Some people seem to think that means it's the end of NXT. It isn't. It's just likely the end of the Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor program with their third meeting in a cage.

Meltzer seemed to imply he was talking about Ward in the most recent newsletter.
Instead, he lashed out as the head writers on Raw and Smackdown, Ed Koskey and Ryan Ward, saying “one pretending to be Brain Gewirtz (Koskey is known for being similar to Gewirtz) and the other too busy hitting on developmental divas” (Ward was head of creative with NXT until just recently being moved full-time to the main roster and taken off NXT creative).

Standard show largely but it featured a Russian-Scotland axis:

TakeOvers of recent have had 5 matches, and we've only got 4 right now. Itami could return as early as this next TakeOver.

Naturally, they could fill the extra time with anything. I'm actually legit excited to see how they use that space. They don't have anyone running the "monster squashes jobber" treadmill for once, so they could go new talent or current.

Maybe Manny Andrade or whatever his name is now could debut?

So now various sites are saying that Takeover Brooklyn 2 has been pulled off both Ticketmaster (and "Ticketron") and WWE.com, even though as best I could tell, they were never on there to begin with.

Meltzer:
Ticketron and the WWE's web site have pulled the planned SummerSlam weekend NXT show. Now, decisions and schedule changes happen all the time. If you remember, last year's show in Brooklyn was NXT's biggest success in history drawing a legit sellout and had the Bayley vs. Sasha Banks match that may have been the best women's match in company history. Even internally, people have been asking questions and right now there are no answers other than the show is no longer on the schedule. At least some in NXT are very concerned about that and the billing of the 6/8 show as "The End."
I've left a voicemail with my Barclays Center representative inquiring if Takeover is still planned on SummerSlam weekend. Thank goodness I've collected no money so far.

Very interested what you hear back. If the plan is to promote the top four or six NXT acts, it's probably best not to run Barclay's with a hamstrung roster. Personally, this scenario sucks because I was looking forward to attending that show and will not be extending my stay in the city for Raw or Smackdown TV. Somebody else could make good money running somewhere in the NY metro area that Friday. Plenty of fans will be in town.
