I live in Perth, so my local indy is EPW (there's about 4 promotions in Western Australia, but EPW is the only one that really does much worthwhile); which is the original home promotion of TMDK. Shows have kind of been a mixed bag for the past year, there have been some matches I've really enjoyed and some that I've cringed at. For last-year's big show Davis Storm and Chris Vice did a 60-minute Iron Man match, which was an impressive feat on a physical level but I wish they'd been less indulgent and just did a 2/3 falls match.

I really should try and get into MCW, as they seem to be the Australian promotion which is putting out the most consistently good product at the moment.

I've heard about EPW. Their top talent looks pretty good, although the rest of the roster doesn't look that flash. I was wondering if that Vice vs Storm match was any good. I live in South Australia & my local indy is Wrestle Rampage. Chris Vice & Marcus Pitt are regulars there & they have been impressive. Definitely get into MCW if you want to see the best of Australian wrestling.

Top level of EPW is pretty solid; Vice, Pitt, Alex Kingston, Storm and Slater. A couple guys on the roster just returned from a stint training with Lance Storm, and I really noticed that they had improved significantly with their return. Logan Grey is being pushed as the new Ace of EPW, not sure if he's had any matches outside Perth yet though.

WA is also home to the infamous AAW. They spend like WCPW on foreign talent and I really have no idea how they make any money off of it. (I've heard that the owner's Dad is a money mark and also that they charge local wrestlers for ring time). Their next show is bringing out Buff Bagwell. Somewhat tempted by their one after that which is bringing Booker T and Jay Lethal out.

Melbourne City Wrestling (arguably the top promotion in Australia), released a best of 2016 complilation. They are very much like the 'Progress Wrestling' of Australia. Known to have some good storytelling, attracts the top talent in Australia/New Zealand (had the likes of Nick Miller, Buddy Murphy, Travis Banks, TK Cooper, Evie etc) & features the occasional (but top class) special guest (guys like Marty Scurll, Jimmy Havoc & Tyler Bate).

I see they ran a show in January, Vendetta. Anyone check this out and have thoughts?

Slater, Pitt & Vice are among the top talent in Wrestle Rampage as well. Damian Slater has been a great heel champ in Wrestle Rampage. They had a stable feud between TMDK (Jonah Rock, Hartley Jackson, Marcus Pitt) vs The Brotherhood (Damian Slater, Chris Vice, Havoc) which featured some great matches.

AAW looks like a whacky promotion. The show with Jay Lethal & Booker T also has Al Snow, Rene Dupree & Mr 450.

I haven't seen it because it appears to be one of their weaker cards. Although, I've heard good things about the Damian Slater vs Adam Brooks main event. I'm more interested in watching (when it is on Vimeo) MCW Ascension, which is the show that happened in February.

Last AAW show had Bobby Lashley on the card, and it's just nuts to seem him in contrast to a ring of Australian geeks. https://youtu.be/2q2DLoT5clc?t=3m3s

No matter who they bring out, no moment in AAW Perth will ever top the glory of this promo.

Good grief, that promo was beyond bad. That is easily the worst promo I have ever seen & I have seen a lot of bad promos. I cannot believe how bad it was. :o

Kellie 'The Rate Tank' Skater has recently announced her retirement. One of Australia's most successful wrestlers in the last decade. Very accomplished wrestler in the independent women's wrestling scene, especially in Shimmer where she had won the singles & tag team championship. Best of luck to her in the future.

Skater is one of the nicest wrestlers I've ever dealt with, very easy to get along with, and very dedicated to her craft. Everyone lost their minds with joy when she won the SHIMMER Title. Believe she's got a new job that will prevent time to train and travel which is why she's retiring. At least someone got out before they're truly messed up by the profession.

That is nice to hear. She seems like a very nice person. Honestly, I haven't seen much of Kellie Skater but I'm interested in seeing more of her previous work. She has looked good in the stuff I have seen.

Heard that TK Cooper's & Dahlia Black's visa will end in mid-2017. Feel bad for them because they were doing so well in Progress. Although...

If that is the case, UK's loss, Australia's gain. :D

The big rematch between Evie and Kellyanne (very likely Evie's final indie match in Australia) will be on the MCW show on April 28th. I think they'll want to out-do themselves from that great match at the end of last year.
