Positive is that Joe had successful surgery to remove the tumor. But he still has a long road of recovery to go.

Get well soon, hoss!

Terrible news, but at least he had it removed. Unless some of it stayed inside, then the nightmare continues.

This brings to question who replaces him in the carnival. Some sites say Aoki is stepping up but All Japan has not made an official announcement yet.

Likely heavies I can think of is Ishikawa, Irie or Nishimura. With Kohei Sato being a possible name through BJW

Joe seemed like the favorite to win it too. I hope they just have Miyahara win the thing now. Have him lose to or draw with Sekimoto if you want to set up a title match.

Looks like Aoki is official. AJPW are also going to reshuffle the blocks and cards as a result of Joe being out. Aoki is an okay replacement and he is the top junior so if any junior steps up it should be him.

All my prayers goes to Doering, i hope he has a successful recovery!

Aoki makes sense, and he's a solid workder, but i can't help but feel he's a boring replacement.

I won't rule out Zeus winning. He needs to rebound after the loss to Miyahara, and he is their #2 draw atm, insane as it sounds.

I know it's a stretch but since he's a freelancer, what if Seiya Sanada entered? Miyahara/Sanada TC match would be pretty fun as well.

On such a short notice it would be hard. Main factor in Aoki entering and not someone "new" is that with so little time before the Carnival, it would be too much work to find someone with an open enough schedule or able to reschedule stuff to fit in than it would be worth

Anyone able to translate what Nagata said about Miyahara and AJPW here?

That would be such an amazing summer defense for Miyahara. I'm here for it. (not sure what he's saying though)

I get the impression they were just shooting the shit. They start talking about death matches right after, so I don't know if anything said was meant to be taken seriously. Still would be nice to get clarification.

It's gonna come down to Miyahara and Sekimoto on the final night, Bodyguard will play spoiler to Akiyama.

Zeus wins the B Block, I guess.
