Re: Official WWE Thread
People already going on about how Aries is going to tear it up everywhere. Will that really be the case? After leaving TNA and before signing with WWE he barely worked any dates. When he was in NXT his contract did give him the option of taking outside bookings and I remember he only did one outside show during that time. After ROH and before TNA came calling there was talk of him retiring.
Re: Official WWE Thread
I am curious as to what's next as well. There really is nothing new to accomplish in ROH or GFW. A run in NJPW might be fun for him, but he would certain to be slotted as a junior and given the other gaijin at that level, is he really going to be pushed to the moon? I can totally get not wanting to be slotted as a cruiserweight, especially when he didn't get the title, but I do wonder about retirement or something non-active wrestler related.Uhaacrewz wrote:People already going on about how Aries is going to tear it up everywhere. Someone beat me to it on Twitter, so I'll claim it as my own here.
The Banana Club t-shirt is probably being designed as we speak.

Re: Official WWE Thread
Wonder if that face he made after his match with Neville meant more than just "I lost" now.
Definitely looked a bit odd.

Re: Official WWE Thread
I for once totally agree there was nothing to do with Aries on main roster Raw. After all, who ISN'T salivating for Chapter 38 of the iconic Miz vs. Ambrose feud?

Re: Official WWE Thread
The PWTorch deal suggests that he didn't like being slotted with the cruiserweights, and also suggested that he had an attitude backstage that people weren't thrilled about.
Immediately thought back to him digging himself infinite holes on Twitter. I don't know him, and won't pass judgement, but the evidence points to a very grating personality.

Re: Official WWE Thread
Aries when he was in NXT flat out refused to go to the Performance Center even on a part time basis. When Roderick Strong first signed he was going to be an outside NXT shows part timer only and live where he always lived. Aries's attitude towards going to the Performance Center lead to WWE scrapping Roddy's original contract and WWE paying Roddy relocation expenses to live closer to the Performance Center so he could work with the trainees occasionally.Garuda wrote:The PWTorch deal suggests that he didn't like being slotted with the cruiserweights, and also suggested that he had an attitude backstage that people weren't thrilled about.

It worked out for Roddy as he got "discovered" by Coach Shawn Michaels and got his post Wrestlemania push we are seeing now.
Re: Official WWE Thread
Aries out is probably best for all involved.
