The changes to the card were a huge improvement, IMO, though it felt like they were made due to travel/injury issues and not because anyone looked at the card and realized 3 IG matches were too much
1. Flip Gordon def. Trey Miguel, JT Dunn, & Jordan Len-X: Solid opener, spots, really hard for anyone to stand out especially Miguel who was making his debut
2. Big Top Tag Titles: Extra Talented won the vacant titles by defeating Scorpio Sky & Kevin Condron: Britt Baker forfeited the titles prior to the match. Normally it'd be a bad thing for the titles to be given up for little reason, but it's better this way. ET were a very welcome surprise, and the tag match hid Condron's shortcomings. Solid match, right call to put the belts on Starks and Solow who have busted their asses for WrestleCircus and are guys on the cusp of breaking out that they should be focusing around.
3. Chelsea Green defeated Joey Ryan: I enjoy goofy stuff, so I had a decent time, and I liked the Laurel Van Ness character change; if you aren't into Joey Ryan and whacky stuff, not for you. That goes almost without saying. Self contained though, which is better than taking up a title match or what they normally do with Joey
4. Bestia 666 defeats Mecha Wolf (Mr. 450) & Laredo Kid: Didn't get too into this, especially since the four way earlier felt like the same time of match. Mr. 450 does nothing for me, and his Mad Max cosplayer gimmick is my least favorite on any show. Big waste of Laredo Kid, would have preferred him against someone like Flip and break up the other guys. There were dives! I think all these guys, here and opener, are directionless especially with two titles on Tessa Blanchard
5. Brian Cage defeated EC3: Cage will challenge Shane Strickland for the Ringmaster's Title in October at the one year anniversary show, so booking wise, it made sense that he beat the original champ who never lost the belt to secure the match. Impact TV main event really, power moves between body guys. Not having a guy he can be a base for and throw around takes a lot out of Cage's arsenal. EC3, if brought back, should really go with the only true heels in WC, Sky & Condron
6. Post Intermission Match: Christi Jaynes defeated Jojo Bravo: Haven't gotten used to Jojo's new name of J.C. Res, which I thought was just an Inspire Pro thing. Okay match, felt like a make up win to Christi after last month, so reports that WC sided with Jaynes in the Ellering debacle have even more weight. Jojo worked well with her, but I still think Christi looked better pre-STARDOM run. Not sure why.
7. Lady of the Ring & Sideshow Championship: Tessa Blanchard defeated Britt Baker: While I question putting two titles on Tessa, her and Britt delivered big time. Easily the most heat on the night so far, came across clear on the Twitch stream. Really good near falls, back and forth, and the crowd bought into Britt pulling off an upset. Tessa has been low key MVP for WC this year, bringing it big time against Rachel at SXSW, Lufisto last month, and Britt here.
8. They did an angle with Austin the Ref and Jervis; they'll be a 10 man tag; they completed the Jervis and Dick Justice one year match here, enjoyable if you're into it! Even as someone who appreciates goofy stuff in wrestling, they didn't need this plus an extra match post intermission
9. Keith Lee defeated Jack Evans: Huge benefit of the card changes, though it's too bad Angelico is out, seeing Jack against Lee is a lot better than the IG tag would have been. Evan wrestled the first third of the match with a cigarette in his mouth which was amusing and impressive as Keith tossed him around like a wrestling buddy. Jack got in all his shit. Was really fun, definitely on the goofier side as you'll get that with Jack, but I wouldn't have even thought to book this match, so glad it happened.
10. Sammy Guevara defeated Jay White: Match of the night for sure. They started a bit rough in the opening chain wrestling, but once they were used to each other, both guys went all out and the crowd got super into it. I haven't seen a lot of White in ROH, and I haven't been too impressed with his PWG stuff, but him and Sammy ended up clicking really well. Was the false finish filled match you'd expect for the main event of a super indie show. Sammy back in the main event is also great to see.
Second half the show is worth checking out, like Roland said; also the Extra Talented win just for a moment, as those guys really deserve the spotlight.
